Michael is what’s called a bad loser and an even worse winner. He’s always had an opinion and was never afraid to share it, whether it was explaining to his father, a die hard Red Sox fan that Bill Buckner’s error was divine intervention or telling his 3rd grade gym teacher she was a stone cold fox. His background is a combination of comedy, acting, writing, hosting, and begging for money (possibly his true gift).
Trained in improv and sketch at Upright Citizens Brigade and scene study at Warner Loughlin Studios in Los Angeles, Michael has performed at such venues as “The Comedy Store,” “The Laugh Factory,” and also regularly in sketch comedy groups. As an actor he has landed roles in comedies such as Samuel L. Jackson’s film “Soul Men," "Grey's Anatomy," "The Melissa & Joey Show," and the FX movie “Oil Storm," as well as writing and staring in his own weekly comedy sketch show on CraveOnline entitled "Balls." Michael is a self-professed life-long nerd, dork, dweeb, that routinely reads math books for fun (No, I'm not kidding) and writes computer programs for kicks (Yes, his weekends are lonely). His undergrad degree is in computer science with a master's in sociology. That explains the computers at least, but how do we explain his playing the cello? It's a complete dork tri-fecta. In his free time Michael can be found stumbling across the stage at Upright Citizens Brigade, hollering oh-so-clever expletives at refs, and spraining his ankles playing rec league basketball.
